The Power of CSS Peeper: A Must-Have Chrome Extension for Designers

Are you tired of spending hours digging through code to find the styles you need? Look no further! CSS Peeper is a powerful Chrome extension tailored for Designers, providing a simple, well-organized, and beautiful way to inspect styles.

What is CSS Peeper?

With a total rating of 4.68 out of 5 based on user reviews, CSS Peeper is highly regarded by users like Derrick D, who use it regularly. Abdul Haleem describes it as a tool that they really like, while Frank McClung praises it as an excellent extension that they use all the time.

Make Your Life Easier as a Designer

Our mission is to make the lives of Designers easier by allowing them to focus on design and spend less time digging into code. With CSS Peeper, you can easily find useful styles without the hassle.

No more guessing or searching through lines of code. Ever wondered about the line-height, font, or button size on a website? CSS Peeper has got you covered. This ultimate tool allows you to inspect code in the easiest possible way.

Uncover Hidden Styles and Gain Inspiration

One of the standout features of CSS Peeper is its ability to reveal hidden CSS styles of objects, colors, and assets on the web. This means you can uncover the secrets behind any website's design and gain inspiration for your own projects.

User Feedback and Areas for Improvement

While CSS Peeper has received positive feedback, there are a few areas for improvement. Users like R P have expressed concerns about viewing elements that reside under the CSS Panel, as it defeats the purpose of the tool. Additionally, Heavy Mod and Essam Abed have reported that closing the extension panel causes the web page to reload, which can be inconvenient.

Despite these minor setbacks, CSS Peeper remains a highly useful extension with a dedicated user base. Bill Butler suggests a cool addition of allowing a modifier key to navigate to another page without turning the extension off and back on.

? ? Do not install ? ? Every time you shop online it'll ask you for donations to some shady charities. There is no obvious close button, nor can you get rid of that donate popup for good. It's absolutely insane Chrome allows this extension to be in the store.

David

doesnt let me edit live css on the page

Peter Mutie

Good software but I have to keep on uninstalling and installing because it prevents me sometime from working and I dont need it to be active. Sometimes it just doesnt work.

Trifonas Mamas

"Donate" window pops up in certain websites that you need to click happened to me today also.

Vincenzo di Vincenzo

? Beware: The app injects a custom "Donate" window on certain websites, and you are forced to close and "accept to donate". This is just a scammy way for them to open up affiliate links and make money off of your data. Uninstall and report this scam.

Benito Benthin

It hasn't been working at all for a while now. The sidebar (menu) won't open anymore. But the app seems to be running in the background, since all the divs appear when I tap on the web pages. Too bad. And it seems this has been going on for quite some time, as you can read here.

Artificial Wonder

doesn't work

Joe (Joe)

Doesnt work at all.

Saif ur Rehman

Bought it on Appsumo but the results are not really cool, not delivering what it supposed to deliver. Typography is most of the time not detected. I have to use *whatfont extension to find out the right font. Color Instances are there but there should be some easy options like PDF or image export having all the colors listed inside the image along with the color hex and color itself.

PSA: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE TRIAL PERIOD. This company will automatically charge you for their most expensive plan and won't provide a refund, even within 24 hours of the end of the trial period. It's a borderline scam and the product is not worth the money. Read the other bad reviews. Everyone agrees. Don't make the same mistake we made.

Why Not

overall is good but most of good features are hidden inside premium!

AlphaWitcher

Useless extension. Most of good features are hidden inside paywall. Removed within 10 mins. Wasted my time!

Hiruna Wadasinghe

I added this extension and removed it in less than 10 minutes. it's honestly the most useless extension you could ever add to your browser. it's just an html document that literally contains paywalls. you can't even use it for basic stuff that other free extensions offer without a problem. and seriously who would pay for an extension that's just for viewing css?? like are you kidding me? another thing is even the paywall is lagging on my 16gb pc. yeah i re added it just so i could leave this review and now i'm gonna remove it again

UI Realm

Such a great tool! Makes previewing styles way easier and faster. Super clean and just works. Can’t imagine my workflow without it now. I'm so glad I've found it!

Ryan Hicks

Once upon a time, this was a great tool for developers. Blah blah blah something about developers deserve to be paid for their work blah blah blah go download a different extension because this one has become useless.

Cyrulik Tibia

I love this new update with! Sidebar gives me instant access to all elements, making navigation effortless!

contact.danielwisniewski

Love this tool! CSS Peeper makes inspecting websites so easy. The smart inspection features show me exactly what I need without digging through code. Typography analysis is spot-on and the color extraction saves me tons of time. Essential for any web developer!

Faisal H.

everything is in premium can anyone tell me how to crack this extension i really need it

Jadun Sykes

Developers locked the most important feature behind a paywall recently. (Exporting images from sites used to be free, now it's part of the premium plan, extension is basically useless. Uninstalled)

Dave Land

Turned it OFF when it started inserting some nonsense "plasmo-csui" element in every page. If you need to debug your product or track usage, polluting the user's HTML is VERY scummy behavior. DONE with this enshittification.

Chris

Great until premium launched. Uninstalled and went elsewhere.

Rahul Rajeev

Premium push is bad ux pattern.

Diane Laidlaw - The Design Creative

I've been using this for years and it's on of my favourite extensions that i have

Fahad Siddiqui

Great!

Ada Rogu

Great tool that combines 3 tools in one - fonts, colors, image downloading

Hasan Solak

Free & useful

Pankaj Sharma

require the drag option to move inspector details on screen

Ahmad Reza Tahoor

Powerful tool. The closing option really needs improvement. Love to see it improved!

Poe Hak

Very useful

Satya Vanu

cool extension but however the closing option sucks.
